Jenmon Receives EOT crane order - 01/03/08 |
| |
Verlinde distributor Jenmon International has received an order for overhead cranes from PSA, a container transshipment hub. The cranes will be deployed at a new equipment servicing and repair workshop built to support PSA’s ongoing expansion plans at Pasir Panjang Terminal.
The Eurobloc VT wire rope hoist single girder electric overhead cranes have a handling capacity ranging between 1.5 - 15t. The cranes were constructed with inverter control for both cross and long travel motors. |

Jenmon delivers shipyard order - 21/10/07 |
| |

Jenmon International, Verlinde’s agent in Singapore, has delivered an order of an 80/25t, span of 26m double girder overhead crane and a 35t, span of 35m gantry crane, to PPL Shipyard, a leading prime producer of drilling rigs worldwide. Inclusive in the contract is a modification and relocation of a 20t, span of 20m, gantry crane to an overhead crane. The wire rope hoists are of Eurobloc VT range.
The 80/25t Overhead Crane was designed based on bogie wheel end-carriages in order to reduce wheel loading pressure and subsequently reduce infrastructure cost of the overall building as it is located near the coast line, according to Jenmon Engineers. This design helped to save cost substantially and improve the overall performance of the crane.
PPL Shipyard is a subsidiary of SembCorp Marine, the world’s 2nd largest Oil Rig and platform manufacturer and a specialist in integrated solutions in shipbuilding, rig building, topsides fabrication and offshore engineering. |

Overhead cranes for ship yard - 7/6/2007 |
| |
 |
Verlinde's Singapore-based agent Jenmon International has recently delivered four overhead cranes to Britoil Offshore Services’ Batam yard. The order includes one 30t double girder unit, two 20t double girders and one 12.5t double girder with motorised turntable with a magnetic system (all with 28m spans).
Jenmon director Mark Ong said the use of inverter reduces stress on the machinery and cuts downtime. He added: "Other advantages are the saving in electricity bills as the inverter system works on gradual acceleration, thus eliminating inching on the motor speed and reducing sudden high current surge when using the two-speed motor traditionally used on the cross and long travel machinery."
Jenmon installed an Electro Permanent Magnetic (EPM) system, which activates and deactivates the magnets. Once in position, the operator activates the EPM system and the load is virtually permanently fixed onto the magnets. |
